MarketingFactor has launched!

Miguel Alvarez

Would you like to learn how to make money online? This brand new blog will show you exactly how to do it.

Who am I? (And why should you listen to me)

Hi. My name is Miguel Alvarez. I am a web entrepreneur from Cancun Mexico and I’ve been making a living from marketing online since the mid 90′s.

Listen, I won’t flash big checks in your face or brag about my earnings. It’s just not my style. But I will tell you this: Over the years I’ve had a lot of websites. Some have been wildly successful and are still online (like Copywriting.com or my web hosting company: ThirdSphere). Many others have failed miserably. And it is that experience that qualifies me to show you how to make money online… I know what works, but most importantly, I know what doesn’t work – and I plan to share everything with you on this blog.

What is “The Marketing Factor”?

In short, it is playground for internet marketers. I’m launching this blog as a fun place where I can share with you my ideas, my most profitable internet marketing tactics and other cool stuff that I find around the web.

But this is NOT a “one-way street”. The idea is for you to get involved and make this a truly interactive experience where we can both have fun and learn more about internet marketing from each other.

There are 3 things you can do to get the full “Marketing Factor” experience:

1) Subscribe with RSS or via e-mail.

2) Share your thoughs and ideas in the “comments” section of every article you read.

3) Ask me questions to help me keep the blog fresh with stuff you actually want to learn more about.

Ohh… and one more thing. Whenever you find an article that you particularly like, please share it with a friend and in your favorite Web 2.0 sites or (if you like it enough), link to it from your own blog or website. The more web marketers that come on board, the more fun we’ll all have.

To get the ball rolling, I have populated this blog with a group of 17 fresh new posts. Go ahead and click around, then come back and let me know what you think. I’m specifically looking for feedback on:

* Is the content what you expected?
* Is the blog easy enough to navigate and find your way around?
* Are the colors visually pleasing? Do they let you focus on the content?
* Is the blog inviting for you to stick around and comment?
* What suggestions or ideas do you have to improve your overall experience?

Cheers!
Miguel Alvarez

As a newbie to web 2.0 I don’t have enough experience to say anything. Except I think it is a great idea to cross brain waves to improve all of us. Although my site is still in development stages I feel I can learn a lot from you.

I particularly like your writing style.

    Thanks for the articles,

    Sandy

I know a bit about social marketing however, it changes so quickly so it’s nice to have a place that I can bookmark and come back to so I check out what’s new in the wordl

  4. This is a terrific concept – learning and enjoying the process. I like the look of the blog and I’ve never been able to learn marketing from a “Latin Lover” before.
    This should be a treat!

  5. This looks like it will be a great blog Miguel. I’m sure I’ll be checking in quite often. Thanx.

  7. Miguel,
I like the energy you exude on the page. Some internet marketers that I respect have given glowing testimonials in reference to your web hosting company – Third Sphere. Well, it’s great to know that you are taking it a notch up to share your wisdom from the trenches. Looking forward and am sure this too will be a a great success. Good luck!

  8. I like the fact you come straight to the point and explain who you are and what the marketing factor is. I’ll be watching for more. Thanks for being straight-up!

    Celebrations to your site Miguel,

This is the slickest site I’ve seen in a long time. I spent 15 minutes on my very first visit and went through the entire site in one sitting-fabulous job on the clarity and simplisticity of the navigation, overall look and feel, as well as the exceptional content.
This is now one of the few sites that will in my front row seats to be visiting as I develop my passions online.

Thank you for your attention to detail and for raising the bar in the industry!

    With Gratitude, Josette

Good video on using Twitter Miguel. I’ve also bookmarked your site.

  11. The topics you have chosen and the 17 topics you have posted seem to have a lot of promise for a great blog.

As you say all of us have had successful and unsuccesful websites and if we learn from our success as well as our mistakes we can improve our present and future efforts.

    Miguel,

I’m delighted to have found your site this morning, and I must say I am tremendously impressed so far.

You’ve already proven that the content here will be great, and I’d love to know now: (1) which Revolution theme you used (I found your logo in the “Best of the Best” section in Brian’s showcase), and (2) who customized your theme and designed your logo, graphics etc.. They are absolutely amazing!

This is eye candy at it’s best!

    Thanks so much,
    Metta
