SEO, Liberty & Justice For All

SEO, Liberty & Justice for all!As you may or may not already know, I’m a big fan of StomperNet (and quite often, they keep giving me reasons to be). The latest one being the review copy they sent me of their two new products:

Stomping the search engines 2.0” and “The net effect”… Both of which I’m going to review today.

However, before I put on my editor hat and go into ‘review mode’, I want to give you a small introduction to who “StomperNet” is, what they have done for me before and what they are all about.

StomperNet is the brainchild company of two very smart entrepreneurs called Andy Jenkins and Brad Fallon. Back in 2004, they were two unknowns who came out with a search engine optimization course titled “Stomping the search engines”. The product was so good, and the results their customers got were so amazing, that Brad and Andy (BrAndy for the connoisseurs) quickly gained rock-star status among the internet marketing crowd.

I was one of their original customers and by following the advice in their course, I quickly grabbed a top position in Google (and other search engines) for my Copywriting.com website; and the same techniques were used by others with similar or even better results. So trust me when I say that the stuff they teach works like a charm.

That is the main reason why I was so excited when Andy e-mailed me and said: “Your review copy of Stomping the Search Engines 2.0 is on its way”.

Ok… enough chit-chat… let’s get the review going:

Who is this course for?

The new version of the course was designed from the ground up and it goes DEEP into the most hard-core SEO techniques ever revealed anywhere. And when I say “hard-core” I mean those undecipherable rocket-science-level algorithms that the wiz-kids over at Google designed and keep tweaking all the time.

For that reason, Brand and Andy made the executive decision to include their original “Stomping the search engines 1.0” course in the package. The original one was designed so that even non-techie newbies could get top positions in the search engines quickly and easily.

The fact that you’re getting both courses in the same package is almost unfair for those of us who paid the full retail price for the first version.

Those who will benefit most from the course are:
* Self-taught webmasters and web designers
* Small and mid-sized business owners who want to get really good at SEO
* Internet marketers who already have a site (or plan to build one soon)

Is the course any good?

In my opinion, the quality of the information is simply top-notch. Few people know it, but this new version of the course was not entirely made by Brand and Andy… Instead, they tapped into the brains of the brightest SEO minds in their StomperNet faculty to create the modules that make up the course (Leslie Rhode, Dan Thies, Andy Edmonds, Jerry West, et al.)

Having each of their experts walk you through their own areas of expertise step-by-step vastly improves the overall learning experience you’ll get out of the training modules.

Here’s a quick overview of each module in the course:

Module 1.- Introduction
Here, Brad and Andy explain the benefits of SEO, why white-hat strategy will always win and the whole Stomper mindset and approach to search engine optimization.

Module 2.- How the search engines work
Andy Edmonds walks you through the exact mentality of the search engine creators and explains how to give them exactly what they want. Some of the videos in this module get highly technical, so have a nice cup of coffee ready for them.

Module 3.- Keyword strategy concepts
In this set of videos Dan Thies leaves no stone unturned when explaining why having a good keyword strategy is the only way to dominate both your market and the engines. He also teaches you a fool-proof keyword research method that virtually guarantees that the keywords you select are highly profitable (this one was probably my favorite module of all).

Module 4.- Optimizing your site structure
The dark lord of SEO (Leslie Rhode) goes in to fine detail on how Google’s PageRank works (not the one in the browser bar, the real one), he explains anchor text, link reputation and goes deep on how to structure your site to attain maximum PR passed on to the pages you WANT to rank well on the engines.

Module 5.- Optimizing content
After researching over 800,000 pages in more than 500 websites, Jerry West can teach you a thing or two about getting the most SEO benefit from your site’s content. Be ready to learn why ranking on a top position is not enough for the click… and certainly not for the conversion. This module is guaranteed to blow your socks right off!

Module 6.- Building and promotion
This module is where things get really fun as you’ll get to start a swift and unstoppable linkbuilding campaign, analyze what your competitors are doing and crush them with more and better links.

Module 7.- Improving your results
There’s no point in having a set search engine position if you can’t improve on it. The videos in this module explain exactly how to measure your success and how to start a cycle of continuous improvements for your website.

The Net Effect.

Along with the DVD’s for the STSE 2.0 course, came a print journal called “the net effect”. It is a new publication that will be released monthly that includes the latest information about search engine optimization, e-commerce and web marketing (including a lot of cool Web 2.0 stuff).

This first issue I received packs a whooping 15 articles in various topics. Here’s the list:

1.- It’s your eyes that BUY!
2.- The “Keyword Heist” Technique
3.- 26 Things to Test
4.- Wanna Be Broke? Then Maybe You Shouldn’t Sell Cheap
5.- Ranking on Page One
6.- Shotgun!
7.- Twittering Your Way To Free Traffic
8.- The Ultimate Article Marketing
9.- Anatomy of a Search Engine Ranking
10.- Mad Skillz: We Haz Them (Andy’s humor of course)
11.- Email Blastoff!
12.- The Social Media Survival Guide
13.- How to Interview an Outsourced SEO
14.- Speed Matters
15.- Armor-Piercing Email

The quality of the articles in “The Net Effect” is nothing short of amazing, and my favorite part came at the very end of the publication, where I found an extra (unmentioned) article titled: “Your Monthly Action Plan: How to turn this issue into a goldmine”. This article had a series of steps on how to put everything I learned from the articles into action quickly and easily. For me, that was worth solid gold.

Summary.

Stomping the Search Engines 2.0 is a highly recommended resource for anyone who wants to start gaining hordes of free traffic from Google, Yahoo and MSN. What I like most about the course is that not only it explains the complex tech stuff in a way that even a total newbie can easily grasp it, but that it also focuses all its teachings on how to grow your business – as opposed to only showing you how to get good rankings for it – because, after all, we’re all in it for the money. Right?

Search engine optimization and web marketing are two areas that change virtually every single day. So having a monthly publication delivered right to my door with all the latest techniques is very valuable. However… when the techniques and tactics mentioned are dissected, analyzed and tested by some of the brightest minds in the industry… then the publication, to me, instantly becomes absolutely priceless.

So… at least for the time being, I’ll keep on stomping! (and you should probably join me)

P.S.-
Even if you’re NOT interested in SEO, you should check out their site. The guys at StomperNet know how to put on a winning product launch, so it’s a great exercise for anyone in web marketing to analyze their promos and see exactly what they do to pull things off and make their millions.

P.P.S.-
Why is the title of this post “SEO, Liberty and Justice For All”? You gotta read the Stomper blog to find out.

I now the quality these guys put out. I haven’t had the opportunity to get any of their products, stompernet was just too expensive for me! For that reason, I had been brushing off all the emails they were sending me about stomping the search engines 2. I thought it was going to be another launch for another opening into stompernet which I couldn’t afford!

How surprised when I actually saw the video and what these guys are doing, they are evening the playing field tremendously by offering the monthly journal, including the two courses free just for trying is simply crazy! I’m really loving how everyone is moving the free line these days! It helps those of us getting started get our hands on some high quality materials!

    Great reveiw.

  4. I think everyone has noticed how many new links have they got during the last couple of days. The dvd serie is, at least, great marketing as a linkbait for them.
