The social “LOL” experiment!

The social LOL experiment

While surfing the web today, I came across what has to be the funniest social marketing campaign ever created. It is called “The Skype laughter chain” and it is pure genius.

The entire social media campaign is based on the concept that laughter is contagious (even more so than a yawn)… And they prove it to the world with an ever growing viral chain of videos of skype users cracking up one after the other.

The brilliance of this campaign is the fact that Skype actually took the time to come up with the most entertaining way to use their product and then turn that into a viral explosion to promote their services. Few companies are able to actually project “coolness” to their audience… and Skype has done it in a truly remarkable way.

Go ahead, I dare you to click the “Play” button in this widget below and not LOL yourself. Also, if you have a webcam, do allow the widget to access it to join the fun and become a part of the most hilarious social media experiment ever… and don’t forget to leave a comment at the end of this post after your ribs stop hurting from all the laughing!

That is some funny stuff, there, Bernie! Is that one lady from the Rain Forest? I swear I heard at least three different animal noises coming from her… then there is the couple of people who sound like science fiction sound effects!

    Thanks for a hilarious break!
