Trendy blogging for big traffic

Trendy blogging for big trafficOne of the quickest and easiest ways to get traffic to your blog is to actually write about stuff that people want to read. Yet, very few bloggers actually do it.

If you blog about “what’s hot” in the on-going global conversation, there’s a bigger chance for your blog to be talked about as well. Especially if you are able to provide an interesting point of view or put an interesting spin to the stories you blog about. When you talk about what’s hot, by proxy you’ll become part of the heat. :)

The good news is that even if you have a very niche-specific blog, you can benefit from this strategy. All you need to do is hunt down the stories that will resonate with your audience, or find a way to tie in a particular story to your niche.

The coolest keyboard ever!

The Optimus Maximus KeyboardIt’s called the “Optimus Maximus” keyboard. And even the cocky name falls short in describing the true coolness of this new keyboard by Russian design studio Art Lebedev.

The optimus maximus is a true technological marvel. It features a tiny OLED screen on each key (yes, that’s a total of 113 tiny screens) that can be configured to look any way you want and change dynamically depending on what you’re doing.

Press the shift key and all the keys go uppercase. Run Photoshop and each key will automatically update to feature (with icons, animations and even QuickTime movies) so each hot-key has an image representing its function.

The UNO: One cool mashup

The UNOIs it a motorcycle? Sort of. Is it a segway? Sort of. The UNO is a one-of-a-kind vehicle that was showcased at the 2008 National Motorcycle Show in Canada.

This cool new creation was invented by an 18-year-old prodigy called Ben J. Poss Gulak. His interest and creative mojo come from growing up around his grandpa’s basement machine shop. And even without any formal training, he has devoted most of his life to fun projects like model trains, rockets and of course his masterpiece: The UNO.

According to Ben, the machine is very simple to operate (there are no controls except the on-off switch). To go forward, you simply push your body forward to tilt the UNO. To back-up, you just lean your body backwards. The farther you lean, the faster it goes (this was accomplished with custom-made computer software that reads the gyro’s input and tells the computer how much to accelerate).

Aside from it’s obvious coolness, the UNO is completely electric… so it’s as green as they come. To learn more about “tomorrow’s transportation” watch for updates at the UNO’s official site.

I’m blogging this t-shirt

I\'m blogging this.Been there, done that, blogged about it and now I’ve got the t-shirt. :)

It was love at first sight. The minute I saw this cool new t-shirt, I knew I had to get it. But why? Well, for starters the t-shirt is just as cool as it can get. The motto makes a strong statement by letting the world know of my evil intentions and to top it all off, white text over black never really goes out of style.

Want one too huh? Get yours at ThinkGeek.
